(Image directory)So, yesterday night and today, I decided to try drawing in a non-chibi/SD style and it actually turned out better than I had expected. Usually they’re terrible but I guess somehow I’ve gotten better at it even though I haven’t really tried drawing this way for a very long time. In the process, I ended up making a character whose catchphrase is “how do I [verb] good”. So here are the images; you can also find them on Twitpic.

July 4th Weekend

This weekend a friend came to NYC (Friday July 2nd to Monday July 5th), and so we had adventures in the city. Here are some of the photos I took. Locations include: Times Square, Toys R’ Us, arcade, Nintendo World, Kinokuniya bookstore, ramen restaurant, Coney Island (hot dog eating competition, arcade, beach), Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and some random street where we watched fireworks. Versions of the images with slightly more detailed descriptions can be found on Twitpic. Also here’s a video of the Macy’s July 4th danmaku with a random building blocking part of it.
