The matrix

I spent much more time on this than I had expected to. Mainly just the animation scene, which didn’t turn out as great as I had intended.

  • Kirchhoff law, FOK YEAH!
    but srsly, the Matrix sucked!

  • That’s similar to what I thought when I first heard of Matrices.
I laughed when Longhair girl said AWESOME! in Binary.
hmm, now to figure out what the binary means.

  • It’s probably AWESOME! as converted from ASCII encoding. Here: http://nickciske.com/tools/binary.php

    Also, “pewpewpew” was hilarious.

  • That was the best you’ve done in quite a while.

  • That was amazing, I especially lked the AWESOME.

  • I told you this on IRC already, but yes, I really did spend my time translating that. >_>

  • OH GOD NO!

I hated Kirchoff’s laws. It always ended up being a horrible mess of algebra. We had to solve it by hand.

  • What’s she saying in the other binary things? Or is just random 1’s and 0’s?

  • I gotta agree, it’s been a while since I read a good one like that.
But a Cirno on fire is fine too…

  • I found that quite amusing

  • Oh I remember when I first learned about the matrix. It was sophomore year, and when my teacher first mentioned it, I was ecstatic. I thought of the very same amazing things. Grazing bullets as my score skyrocketed, abusing slow motion, binary, and sunglasses overtook me. I was overcome with joy as these things raced through my mind, and even though they were just boxes of numbers, they had to be some kind of fun if people could make a set of movies with them in the title. Then I learned what the matrix really was, came to hate it, and bombed my test later. They did come up again this year for me, and my opinion slightly recovered from the sheer shock and cruel deception it experienced earlier in life. At least I have another way to solve a system now.

  • oh, my calculator is “Dot Matrix”…is the same?
    XD
    well done…

  • I always wondered

Why the hell did they blow up that elevator shaft in the first movie?

  • …This just reminded me how much I hate my Major. Or perhaps the people teaching it…

  • @E-mouse: I’m guessing it’s AWESOME! because that’s usually the word that appears in rainbow text like that.

    Plus she dodged a bullet.

  • You get points for dodging a bullet by falling over.

  • I like matrices. I just can’t figure out where they are on this TI-89 Titanium though. ;_;

  • I could get “AWESOME”

  • Now…I have an idea…for a major flash production. Basically, it chronicles the adventures of Nameless Character, Long-haired Girl, and Headphones Girl in a virtual RPG world (sorta like in .Hack) where all battles are done in Danmaku. Crazy events happen, as is customary in such a plot, and the three (and maybe a few others) try to find the source.

The questions are who’s gonna do it, how it’s done, and what to call it.

  • Well, Gof bless TI Calculators xD. At my college we use TI-200 calcualtors though (°¬°)v. Life is so easy with them around, even thoguh a TI can’t do everything as some people tend to think, for instance, there are several (not to say “A lot”) of things they can’t do, touhgh as far as I have had the need to is solving Dieferentiate Equations of second order. lika y” plus y’ equal pi^2 or stuff like that. (many of you will already know this and even more I know,) Still, TI Rule!!! Aboutthte amtrix, well I didn’t like the second and third moveis very much the first one was O.k
K.. Nice falsh KirbyM it is indeed a better flash than the one you have been up to lately.

  • @Kafro
I know where they are, you have to either use the matrix editor

    Apps>>Matrix editor>>name the matrix>>> Fill the spaces
and then just use the name you used for the matrix as a variable.

the other way is buiding it. example
[5,6;7,4] this would be a 2×2 matrix with the top row being 5 and 6, and 7 and 4 the botoom row. you can build a matrix as large as you want. [12,4,6,7;15,32,1,23;76,1,2,3;18,15,5,1]
This pone would be a 4×4 matrix, and so on. o(°x°)°

  • @Kobayashi: I was so curious that I actually made a program to translate this stuff (yep, nothing better to do). Here we go…

The screen full of 0s and 1s as Unnamed Char spirals inwards reads:
wow, did you really spend your time translating this?

After Long-haired Char says that they’re in the matrix, Headphones Char says:
    leetsauce

    After pewpewpew, Headphones Char says:
    omfg theyre shooting at us

After the bullet is dodged, Headphones Char says:
    bullet dodge omg

END, tried reading 5 different ways, just reads random rubbish such as n、ュマレ@, i[ハオ_, ヲヘc and ~v、ョタ. Why did you have to stop the binary at the END, KirbyM? ;P

  • @SomethingUnreal: Good job, you rock.
Actually the thing is I think Matrix is actually a spin off from Touhou, inspired by the fact you can graze/dodge bullets.

  • Matrix came long before Touhou. And .hack. and Battle Network.

  • I bet you grabbed Wild Words from some site that didn’t require you to pay.
    Also AWESOME

  • @SomethingUnreal: I was gonna have the binary in the “END” frame translate to the word “end”, but it didn’t really work out so well so I just used random 0s and 1s.

@Zeroblade: Ohoho, isn’t that what everyone does? Also I didn’t know Wild Words was one of those pay fonts until after I got it, because I saw that practically every manga/doujin/scanlation/whatever uses it.

  • @KurisuMurei: I was joking, lulz.

  • @KurisuMurei: Yet, the matrix in Shadowrun predated the Matrix and was pretty much the same thing.

  • *falls over giggling*

  • …That’s certainly not ASCII notation… or is it?
