Ok,FINALLY ANIME EPISODE 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year! I thought it was a bit quiet here for the past day or so.
1. And the “ZUN was so upset at Maikaze’s 1st effort that they’re never coming out with part 2” rumors bite the dust. For a promo bit, the animation’s really choppy, considering how fluid promo videos for part 1 were, though the art and backgrounds are still beautiful. Still good to see they’re continuing.
2. And now we see the full length of this “Touhou Kourindou” clip from Touhou Cinema Hall (or Kinema-kan, if you prefer). Nice retrospective on part of Rinnosuke’s life. I like all the little details of items changing with the seasons. Never thought Tokiko was strong enough to break down a door, but I guess that’s not a big thing for a youkai.
3. Another brief clip from Touhou Cinema Hall: “Daydream” (title subject to change). Appears to be about Sanae’s arrival, but it’s a bit hard to tell much else. Supposed to be completed before winter’s out.
4. “A Shizuha Aki Animation I Managed to Make”
Aw…life’s still rough for this autumn goddess in Gensokyo…
5. “Aya & Hatate Boom”
It’s a photo/dance-off! My first thought was this was made using voice clips from “Double Spoiler”…except “Double Spoiler” doesn’t have voice clips. :-S
6. “Subterranean Rose”
Interestingly new and creepy looks for Koishi and Shanghai. Not sure what’s up with those blackout moments, which make the story flow a bit disjointed, but it’s good otherwise.
7. “Eientei’s Party Night!”
Ah, party at Eientei for a change, instead of the Hakurei Shrine. Well, that was cute and fun.

Happy New Years everyone~ It’s been a while
1. Good to see the second Maikaze anime, even though I wasn’t maniacally fond of the first.
2. Not a big fan of a bishie Rinnosuke, but eh… It’s interesting to see Rinnosuke from the present to the past. Naturally he seems to be an avid reader.

6. Subterranean Rose huh? It has an odd look to it, which was likeable. I’m not sure I followed all of it though…

The aforementioned blackouts to censor the nudity (done, apparently, to avoid the video being taken down by YouTube) don’t help the story of the video much.
All I can make of it is that it involves Alice and Patchouli going down into the Underground to save Marisa from Koishi… for some reason…
I’m glad Maikaze is working on their second episode.
and that thing with Rinnosuke and Marisa was pretty cute. that thing with Sanae was cool too.
The subterranean rose thing was alright, but i think it kind of got odd when they included BOTH MarisaXalice and marisaxPatchouli I got confused on which one they were trying to promote.. heh heh…
To summarize what’s behind those black patches before more people start wondering….
2:20 – Marisa screams. Censored: Her clothes disintegrate for no adequately explained reason.
2:30 – Censored: Koishi tosses some magic at Alice and Patchouli; Marisa protests so Koishi tosses some Marisa’s way as well.
2:50 – Alice summons more creepy Shanghais. Censored: They destroy the chains holding Marisa to the cross, I guess. Alice catches Marisa.
3:15 – Patchouli casts a spell. Censored: The spell culminates in a random Patchouli/Marisa nude kissing fantasy scene before Marisa’s clothing reappears.
Really, it brings down the whole video, IMHO, since it’s just so bolted on, with no logical justification and excessively annoying pauses to leer at the girls’ breasts.

…So, since the second episode of MAIKAZE’s anime is finally coming out (AFTER TWO YEARS), I presume you’ll be helping them, Kirby?
