Placement exams (And 4komas)

Hooray! Well, we took a placement exam today, to decide who gets into which class (there are three different Calculus classes, regular, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC; regular is… well, regular, and BC is apparently some really crazy stuff). I didn’t really study, but I guess that’s fine. I understood a lot of the stuff on the exam anyway.

In other news, here are two 4komas from ChiisaiRamen! Yeah!

And in other other news, I made a new character on Mabinogi, because Kirbster had messed up AP distribution. The new character is Walfas, so if Kirbster was on your old list, you can go ahead and delete it, because I don’t think I’ll be using it much anymore.

  • Awsome! first

  • Kirb learned the hard way that AP is everything in Mabinogi. You should just have waited for the cash shop so you could rebirth, though.

  • Did unnamed character break the fourth wall?

  • Nope, I misread something.

  • .. the ending

    fdkjlsdfjklfd

  • Calculus was a fun class, but wait till you get into multivariate/vector calculus (I have no idea if the APs even get that far). That was probably the best math class I’ve taken.

Yeah I’m considering wiping my character and restarting since I didn’t know about the bonuses of starting younger. I’m running critically short on AP at level 17. Should I keep playing on this one or start over?

  • heh heh

    “Placement” Exam

  • lol unnamed character actually passed

I wonder what he wrote on his test… ” 10 super skill” or something luls

  • Lol. That’s why I have two accounts. JUM and JUMkun. Although I’ll probably just stick to JUM. All musical and tailoring.

  • XD

If only it were that easy …

  • Placement. xD!

  • Lol in a single term BC is gonna be pretty crazy. I don’t know how it works at your school but in our school AB and BC are 2 separate classes, and BC is about half new stuff and then the second half of the term we just review everything we learned in both classes combined.

  • LOL thinking outside the box makes for the best flashes

  • This is Beta, many things are broken (except the seal to bangor… -_- or IS it?(the second one is implying that coding error makes it impossible to break))
I’m waiting for it to leave beta and start for good and to have the Cash Store open before freaking out over AP placement.
Beta is a time to be horrible. :3

Anyways, in high school we didn’t have placement exams, anyone with a B or above grade could enter AP courses. (I could have gone to AP English, but didn’t. and was glad when i learned one of the assignments was to say the entire opening to Canterbury Tales as it was written in Old English.)
As for College, I took a state test that was rather easy in my opinion. Learning Calculus senior year (even though I hate Math with a passion (-_-)) helped immensely on the test (so i recommend it to everyone), and i didn’t have to take remedial classes. Essay Writing is important too.

  • I was in a business program when I was in high school. Everyone in the program would be given the same teachers for each subject, excluding math, and each of those teachers would teach at the AP level without it being worth AP classes. The only difference that comes to mind is the AP classes got to write haiku while we got to write a 15 page paper on a short story which was only 2 pages long. Real fair. Thanks Mrs. Wester, you stupid hippie. I’m glad someone keyed your car when you gave the 50 page assignment over spring break. Thanks for ruining my week long hibernation. /rant

5 years ago and I’m still mad over it

  • HAHAHA. Silly waffles.

  • If I remember right, AB is pretty much Intro To. BC actually gets to interesting stuff, like L’Hopital’s Rule and Integration By Parts.

Have fun with Partial Fractions though. They’ll make you miss Trig. 8)

  • no way! That’s impossible!
    2 4-komas!? That’s almost 8 comas! Thats terrible!

  • Lol thats awesome ending hahaha -b

  • no way that Impossible !!!!!

  • Aah, I forgot to post my Mabinogi username/server!

    Meiko / Mari

And I don’t know which channel I would be on, it depends on which one is picked for me on startup.

  • Channel 5 of Mari is touhou central.

  • I’m headed off to AP calculus AB, though I was craving for BC. Only thing that didn’t get me up there was the fact that I haven’t studied ever, ergo meant my in class performance was only mediocre, and thus my teacher placed me in AB. She said she may reconsider if I pull off a mathematical miracle and become the most motivated student ever, but at this late in the school year…

  • At least Long-Haired Character (correct name?) would keep Aya warm in her little box. ;P
By the way… these massive strings of text never fail to amuse me.
(You often do it on the front page Bunbunmaru articles too… =D)

  • I love the way you do tl;dr text. It’s awesome for those of us who don’t tl;dr.

Also, you can delete your character and get a new free pass, but you have to wait until the 7:00 a.m. after the day you delete your character.

  • What’s tl;dr?

Sounds like a character entity in HTML gone wrong. =/

  • It all works like this.

AP Calc AB is apparently one semester of colege calc or something, BC is too. BC does awesome stuff like yes, L’Hopital’s rule, Integration by parts (I actually hate this), and stuff like INFINITE SERIES (These are MADDENINGLY fun).

Math classes /o/. Next year I’m so cool I get to take Calc 3 Diff EQ AT MY HIGH SCHOOL /o/.
