Akyu

Akyu, create.swf, updating, etc. Okay, updating done. Uhh… yeah. I think next time, I might redo the create.swf interface, because now that there’s like 50 characters (or at least around that) and tons of accessories, items, faces, etc, using left/right arrows to switch is becoming a hassle. So expect some changes next time. And if I get lazy, I guess I’ll just update with some other character instead (is there anyone left from the non-PC-98 stuff?)

  • In before update!

  • Looking forward to see what it is like.

  • in before updated create.swf

  • Updated! Oh yeah, and there are 54 characters now. Might as well use this post to show the current statistics of create.swf.

    Characters: 54
    Faces: 57
    Accessories: 58
    Items: 81
    Wings/Back: 26
    Settings: 69

  • In after update!
Maybe there should be a group photo of all of the characters in Create.swf :O!

  • Akyuuuuuu~ ^^

  • Well there’s Maribel Han, Renko Usami, Watatsuki no Yorihime, and Watatsuki no Toyohime.

  • Ki, you’re the best.

  • AKYU!!! YAY

  • You’ve got every Touhou 6-10 the characters from the canon prints except for the new SSiB gals like Reisen 2.0 and the aforementioned princesses. There’s like 18 more characters (including Genjii) if you count the ones from TH02-TH05.

For the next create.swf being able to lock some features while randomizing the rest might be neat–so that we might be able to emulate the SDM’s unnamed faerie maid hordes. You might consider creating an openable interface that lets you browse variations in a gallery format like a chart or table or what those techies call it.

  • Keeps getting better and better!

  • AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

First Kyonko gets the Namamo Nanase treatment and now I see Akyu available. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Today is a good day and it’s only lunchtime here!

  • I celebrated about this last time when Luna was added. But I’ll celebrate now anyways. AKYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!

  • YAY AKYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • maybe when you have 100 characters you should make flash on all characters and who you have =o

  • @Pingy: “Maybe there should be a group photo of all of the characters in Create.swf”
Agh! >_o My PSP would grind to a halt, the poor thing. Maybe resuming once every quarter-hour or so to draw the next frame. Lol, Flash on the PSP is veeery slow.

@KirbyM: I’m wondering what exactly you have the settings for fonts on in your flashes. I ask because when viewed on the PSP, text on your Flashes is invisible, but that’s not the case with all Flashes. Of course, ‘handwritten’ text shows up, but speech-bubbles appear empty, and it’s always fun moving the pointer around the screen to find the “PLAY” button (mouse pointer changes from arrow to a kind of ‘finger’ pointer).
Also, are you sure you don’t have a memory leak in Create.swf for the background of falling snow? It’s as if it’s initialising another 20 or so snowflakes (however many snowflakes there are) every time I go off the snowy background then back onto it, because the animation (and the whole PSP interface) gets slower and slower each time I visit that background, until I reload (refresh) the entire Flash or visit a different web page.
As long as I learn where the background is in the list of backgrounds and avoid going through it to find one I want, then it’s an avoidable problem, but I thought I’d try to get you on the case since it seems a big re-build of Create.swf is on the way after all, I thought you might be able to check it out. ;)

  • How adorable.

  • @SomethingUnreal: I don’t really know what you mean by font settings, but here’s what flash shows.

Also, I think I might know what you’re talking about with the snow thing, but I’ve never really found it to be a problem on regular computers, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I’ll try to fix it when I update next time.

  • Hmm, I guess maybe it’s just that the PSP doesn’t have the ‘Wild Words’ font on it. Strange that it doesn’t go to use some default font instead of just giving up on the text totally. Oh well, I guess the problem’s at Sony’s end.

About the snow issue: Thanks. =D It’s not a problem for me on the computer either. It’s just that I was trying out a load of flashes on my PSP one day, and it was very noticable on there. As I said, Flash on the PSP is slow, and so things like that are more noticable with it.
Lol, you should see it trying to play Reimu’s famous “burn everything” scene.
