Rika

Added Rika to create.swf. We have yet another scientist (engineer) in create.swf! I would’ve put Nitori, Eirin, and Rikako in this introductory picture, but there was no room to do so, with all the prinny explosions and whatnot. Oh yeah, there are prinnies. You can thank Yukari for that. Actually, I guess Yukari is the reason why any foreign object gets introduced… or even why these PC-98 characters are coming back out of nowhere.

  • Oh, hey, look, it’s Rika. I find it kind of ironic, though, that we’ve had Evil Eye Sigma around here for forever, but Rika herself hasn’t popped up till now. Oh well~

  • Danmaku tha is over 9000

  • Holy! is Rika finally!
even who i believe who Rika and Rikako are one and same person, this is awesome!
(finally Evil Eye Sigma can see his “mom” again. ;_;)

  • A Rika! How does she know what Prinnies are?

  • I am enjoying the recent influx of Netherworld products.

  • I like the fact that the gun barrel of the tank is attached to the chassis instead of the turret.

  • Prinnies! Quick question: Do they eat their eggs with salt & pepper, or hot sauce?

  • NoWaiThatsImpossible :O

all i can say is… I wonder who will win, Sakuya or Yumeko O_o. they’ve been fighting for a long time lol

  • @Anonymous: …Yes, of course. This was clearly done on purpose. Clearly. Okay, so I don’t really know anything about tanks. Yeah.

  • Ahh…

*has flashbacks of fighting Evil Eye Sigma 6 months ago*

    Hate Rika…Rika bad…

    *sobs*

  • Never thought I’d see “Dood, it burns!” on Walfas. Not unless it was coming from Da Forces (if I remember their names rightly).

  • Thank you Yukari-sama! Science vs Magic for the win!

  • WHY DO THE PRINNIES NOT EXPLODE

    FURY

  • Thannnnnnnnnk you Yukari-Sama!!!

  • What!? PRINNIES!?
WHAT KIND OF WIN IS THIS.

  • Hey KirbyM do you think oyu can add Letty’s Goalkeeper Hat from Tohou Soccer?

  • I think that the position of the gun-barrel makes it funnier, once you notice it.

  • You should add that ball Utsuho points to in her official art and make the wrench a separate object so you can have it knocked out of Nitori/other character’s hand.

  • HEY GUYS I WAS THE ONE TO SUGGEST PRINNIES

VIRTUAL GLOMPS ARE ACCEPTED AS THANKS

  • Good news, everyone! Nitori noticed Rika’s mistake with the tank, and offered to fix it! Unfortunately, Keine was not available at the time to fix the introductory image you see in this post, so the tank will remain as a failure in the screenshot.

@Immac: Any images of said hat? Maybe I’ll add it the next time I come across a character without a hat (or bows/ribbons on the lower part of their hair, which I can just add to the hair layer).

@ピコハンP, ArticunoX: I’ll try to keep these suggestions in mind for next update (well, I won’t really be “keeping them in mind,” I’ll just come back to this page to go over suggestions as I always do when it’s time to add stuff to create.swf).

@E-mouse: They are in the process of exploding.

  • I only could find it in this video, not on a picture
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmkUPKjhgWk

  • Hax Sign 「Prin Everything」?

  • If I can drop a suggestion whats the possiblity of having multiple layers on the head?

In case someone felt like making an original Touhou and wanted to use (i.e.) the bat wings and a hat.

  • That’d be a programming question, which you’ll have to direct to Thefre.

… who’s been missing for several months now …

  • Awesome! Prinnies, Rika, and Sakuya and Yumeko still fighting! If it’s Yukari bringing back all the PC-98 Characters, then THANK YOU, SUKIMA!

  • Yumeko will win. She’s out of Sakuya’s league.

  • Yeah? Well, Sakuya can stop time. She can beat Yumeko before Yumeko even knows it!

  • Oh noes, Thefre is dead!

Actually, I’m just suddenly busy with moving…and WotLK…and fixing a house that’s crumbling to pieces…and hibernating. Mostly hibernating. I haven’t even really been updating my site with stuff because…well, it’s uninteresting at the moment.

I will go ahead and say that I will not be doing any more to the create.swf in it’s current form. I will also not be doing any updates to the create.swf for the rest of this year. However, I don’t like leaving unfinished business, such as full colorization of characters and danmaku. I’ll also add that I will not be doing weekly updates ever again. Though I had wanted to maintain the same pace as KirbyM does with characters, it will simply no longer be possible for me. It was difficult fitting it into my schedule before, but with the stuff I’ll be doing after the move, there just won’t be time for it so I’ll instead concentrate on getting the important features done.

It might imply that the next version might be 4.0. It might imply that some of the missing features will be implemented. It all depends on how things go with the move.

If you have any suggestions for features, you can still post it on my site. I wonder how many people even realize I had anything to do with the create.swf.

  • @Mariku: Since when can Sakuya do that? Clearly she’s incapable of actually harming her opponents during time stop, or else EoSD would be impossible.

  • Is there some reason the Import External Image function just plain does not work? It generates the Snapshot0,1,2 things but it does not have any image to speak of, no matter where I import.

  • EDIT: Eeer…yano what? I tried putting in a directory instead of a url, and it totally works now…

Change to “Enter Directory” plz or something. That puzzle murdered my mind.

  • To clear up some confusion about how importing external images work, if you import from your computer, rather than starting with http:// you would start with c:/ or whatever drive you have the image in (This may not have been your problem, but you didn’t really state what you tried). I believe relative path would work as well, so if the image is inside a folder that’s in the same folder as the create.swf, you could just put that folder name. Also, if you have the image in the same folder as the create.swf itself, then you could just use the image name. So it’s not always a URL, or a Directory, it might just be a file name. I just figured URL would be a more standard term for such. I’ll add some usage notes to it next time around so it’s more apparent.

  • @Person: Sakuya could still slow time, hide behind Yumeko, then “hurt” her as soon as she resumes time.

@Thefre: I expect more people than you think realise. I mean, when you were making updates to the code as KirbyM was adding new characters, you’d normally get mentioned in the post here at Walfas (or at least, your change-log would get linked to, which had your name next to it).

I’m looking forward to a new design of create.swf, btw. Even though I still use an extremely old version which is only 456KB on my PSP, since that’s the latest one which worked before all buttons mysteriously went invisible (due to the PSP’s Flash plugin’s lack of support for embedded fonts). xD

  • This has nothing to do with the conversation at hand but I’m using create.swf for a school project, yay! Nah, the teacher didn’t assign it or anything but he wants us to do a Powerpoint about invention and innovation and I decided “hey why the heck not.” :D

  • I used it for a couple of my exams. :3

  • @SomethingUnreal: I didn’t realize PSP lacked support for embedded fonts in flash. Is that the only problem or are there others? I’ve only tried viewing the create.swf on a PSP once because I don’t actually have one myself, but I think there was a problem with the filesize being too big or something with the latest version.

PSP support is something I’d like to incorporate into my new design, but I’m not entirely sure how yet. Happen to know any sites with information on flash for PSP?
