A few days ago, Sax showed me some images of a Walfas shirt he made (with permission, of course), and I sorta forgot to post about it until just now. Here’s a few more shots. Anyway, this reminded me of how a bunch of other people in the past said they’d like Walfas T-shirts (or Walfas merchandise of some sort). I know some people would definitely be interested in something like this, so I did some reading on T-shirt selling forums about different print-on-demand companies, and thought maybe if I do make Walfas shirts available, I might do it on Zazzle or something.
I signed up for an account, but the question is: what sort of designs would you like to see on Walfas shirts (daily flash, Touhou, whatever else)? There’s also other stuff like posters (I think perhaps the Cirno file folder could work as a poster; or maybe even a poster with all the create.swf characters on it, sorta like Pokemon posters… but not Pokemon), stickers, buttons, mousepads, postcards, etc. I have some ideas but I think it’d be good to see what everyone else thinks as well.
Zazzle also seems to be having a “10% off everything” sale that lasts until the end of Monday, so if I get some suggestions, I might be able to make some designs today (or dig up some pre-existing images) and people can take advantage of that sale. In any case, if I do make a shop, I’ll probably just put a link in the top navigation bar somewhere rather than putting things all over the place saying “BUY SHIRTS NOW” or something.
In other news, Scarlet Square is over, and apparently doujin shops Tora no Ana and D-Stage asked if they could put some file folders in their stores, which is pretty cool.

Walfas is becoming awesomer at a rate that shouldn’t even be humanly possibly. You should cut back on the awesome some, otherwise you might explode.
Anyway, if you started selling Walfas t-shirts I would definitely be interested a lot. The Unnamed shirt looks like a lot of amazing, so maybe you could stick in the other daily flash characters? (definitely Long-Haired and Headphones, maybe Bored and Teacher, I dunno.) Although a “no way that’s impossible” shirt would also be pretty great.
Death by Yuyushirt would also be epic. I would totally wanna buy one (but since I’m only fifteen I dunno if my parents would let me shop over the netz.)
So that is the T-Shirt… I want one if them now. So cool *_*
Oh, new designs? A Touhou character at the front and a Walfas-stylish char at the back would be great.

Combining a couple of ideas people have already mentioned…
A design on the front featuring a Create.swf-style Cirno and text underneath her saying “The strongest T-shirt” would be pretty funny. Perhaps then, on the back, Daily Flash-style Marisa saying “No way! That’s impossible!” would seem more appropriate (as if she’s responding to the text on the front).
@Akiraita: Agreed, “Death by Yuyushirt” would be awesome. Perhaps that would look better with Yuyuko and the text in red against a black T-shirt.

– Teacher with the blackboard (and maybe the Unnamed Character imagining things).

@Ruka: Talka said the event went okay, but he forgot to take photos. I don’t really know the specifics of how many were sold or anything like that, though.
Anyway, I’m gonna try to get some of the suggested designs done now (I already finished the Death by Yuyuko T-shirt designs). Unfortunately, two-sided printing makes the product more expensive, and I don’t really want to increase the price too much, so I’m gonna try to keep them as one-sided shirts, at least for now. I also put all the create.swf characters (except VIVIT because she’s not Touhou) into an image and uploaded it as a poster.
The shop can be seen here, but there’s only three things in there (and two of them are pretty similar). More will be added soon!
Edit: Zazzle does ship internationally. And wow, I just found out that domestic shipping for one item is $6.48. I don’t really know too much about shipping prices, but that seems sorta high to me.

Only 15 for a Yuyushirt? Just wondering, how much would it cost to make it two sided? If it was only 5-10 more then I’d hit that up so very fast.

@Dular: Well, the shirt I chose was a “value T-shirt” (the lowest-costing shirt on there), so it’s probably not as great as most other shirts. It’s possible to change the shirt type, though; but that increases the price. Anyway, making it two-sided increases the price by about two dollars, I think.
@KirbyM: I see. Well I would like to ask to keep quality in mind as you put up more designs.
And only 2$? Holy Jebus, please make all your shirts double sided. For a mere extra 2$ you can add all sorts of possibilities!
@Dular: Hmm, seems like it’s only $2 double-sided printing for value T-shirts. I tried adding an image to the back of a black T-shirt (default cost is over $20) and it increased the price by ~$7. For basic T-shirts, the price goes up about $3.
How ’bout blue with a giant white ⑨ on the front, with Cirno on the back striking some cool pose? Just an idea I’ve had in mind. But anyway, zomg Walfas/Touhou merch! Get some more stuff up, and I’ll definitely buy stuff.

@theshim: Well, I wouldn’t feel too good about making a shirt like that since I’m not the one who made the original images. But I guess if you really wanted a shirt like that, you can find the images you want and just design a shirt here and send it to yourself.
