Reality Shows

I don’t even know. The ideas behind some (or most) reality shows are just so bad I don’t even know what to say. So instead, I’ll just provide some links. Here‘s some real examples of real reality shows, and here‘s an article about a canceled reality show about producing reality shows.

And here‘s a satirical article about a reality show about people who watch reality shows. I didn’t find it until after I made this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a network actually has a show like this.

Oh, and apparently they have reality shows on Cartoon Network now. Which doesn’t make sense because they’re not cartoons at all. Except there’s one that is a cartoon, but if it’s a cartoon, how is it a reality show if it’s not reality?

  • I was expecting a shot of the daily flash characters being taken by men in black into a helicopter saying AWESOME.

CARTOON REALITY SHOWS ARE REAL. REALLY.

  • yay! now with more reality!

would be better if the daily flashes had some color (for the characters)

  • What if we’re all on reality shows but we don’t know and people on other planets are watching us right now!..I guess

  • I think that Drawn Together (if that’s what you’re referring to) must be a virtual reality show, then. :3

  • Darn reality shows sucks. I hate them so badly -___-

  • don’t miss the real reality show watchers at ⑨

  • Also reality shows are terrible. I remember this one show called Survivorman or something, I dunno if it counts as a reality show, but either way it’s pretty bad. It’s about a man who has to spend a week in the wild alone, which would be fine if it wasn’t for the fact that half the time he conveniently has stuff on him that he probably wouldn’t really have in a real-life survivorman situation, like a lighter, or a machete, or… something else. What I find REALLY bad about it though is that even though he’s given all this stuff he’s not actually supposed to have, he STILL fails. I remember this one episode where he apparently can’t catch any fish at all, even when there were like millions of them in the water and he had a goshdarn NET with him. And then in another episode he burns down his own shelter, and in ANOTHER one he hears a bear in the middle of the night and spends all night thinking about the bear, completely oblivious to the fact that it’s raining outside the shelter and by the next morning the river had risen, like, dramatically.

So, yeah, most reality shows are pretty bad. There’s another survivor type TV show called Man vs Wild, and apparently THAT guy can actually survive. Oh yeah and Judge Sikieiki Yamaxanadu is definitely an AWESOME reality show, if it IS considered a reality show. I don’t think it is. It’s still AWESOME, though.

  • Yep. That’s about as ridiculous as it gets right there

  • NoWaiThatsImpossible:O

@Akiraita There wont be any drama at the show Judge Sikieiki Yamaxanadu though D;” she can judge the person without going through facts and what not… although the only action in there is refusal and danmaku fights~

  • Make a Reality Show about SDM’s library. Watching Patchy reading 24/7.
Actually, that would be better than the reality shows nowadays. And where I live, it’s worse! No normal people, but celebrities, 40-50 years old people are the “stars” of the reality shows here, who can’t bear the fact that nobody cares about them anymore. Sheesh, this is why I don’t watch TV anymore.

  • @Solais: Patchy reading Green Eggs and Ham > anything with a celebrity in it

  • They made quite a few cartoon reality shows, like Drawn Together and Life’s a Zoo =/.

  • Quoting KirbyM/UC words: “I don’t even know.” XD

  • A lot of reality shows are bad, like Survivor.
However, a couple are funny to watch like Wipeout and I Survived a Japanese Gameshow.

  • TV needs less Reality Shows and more Gameshows.

  • I just like wipeout

  • @Bill: Definitely. Game shows are the greatest IMO.

  • …I don’t even know what to say about Reality Shows.

  • Finally, someone that understands!!!!!!!!!

  • Wipeout is good only because of the commentators

  • @Suikama: Pretty much, but I still find it really hilarious. Same goes for MXC.

  • WASUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!

  • Wipeout is fantastic to watch and funny to see how people wipeout. Plus I cannot be the only one who still holds a crush over Jessica Bertoni from the first season. Those shorts were delish.

How come there is little talk about Silent Library? Sure, you can get the full run of the original but the version MTV has is hilarious. I think it was in the fansubs but I still hope to see someone on Silent Library get kicked by a Muay Thai fighter. I cried when I saw Old Man Greeting though.

/Reality shows died when Puck got kicked out of the house in the first Real World

    “*bumps head into pc monitor*”

    Damn you, Yuuuukarriiiii *shakes fist*

  • @tre: But then, tre’s head was cut off in the middle of the the transmission and thus, tre was turned into a yukkuri wandering the lands of Gensokyo and taking it easy to the end of time. EASY END.
