This seems to happen fairly often. It’s also weird when the person in front of you has to stop because of a stop sign or red light, and you end up catching up with them and then passing them, but at the next stop, they catch up to you. Also ignore the fact that it doesn’t really look like they’re walking down a sidewalk with some buildings in the back.

What is really awkward is having that happen when you are driving.
@Rawr: Oh yeah, it’s also awkward when I’m walking, and there’s an open parking space near where I’m about to walk, and a car pulls into the space right as I walk by. Or maybe that’s just me. Yeah, it probably is.

Yeah, I hate when that happens. And then I end up having to take a detour just to not seem like I’m following them. BUT THEN! There are times I end up running into them again…

That’s happened to me a lot of times! But, I walk very fast, I simply step before them and left them behind, even when I’m closer feels like they turn away thinking that I will do something to them or steal them something. That is a bit awkward.

Maybe I should do that, talking to the person I’m “following”.
I know that feeling…except it’s when I was driving and someone’s been going along the same trail that I was after I got off from work.
He was a client that happened to have the similar pathway to his house, but I didn’t know that during the time. So I got worried that he was following me back home, and sped up.
I soon realized that he turned left when I turned right to my house….and I almost crashed into a wall because I wasn’t looking, lol.
I’m always on my bike when I go out so that doesn’t come up much

I’ve had this happen to me a couple of times. It IS a little awkward, isn’t it.
Actually, I intentionally follow people. We’re usually going to the same place (the subway) and it’s just easier than plotting my own course through the tangle of people on a city sidewalk.
Once time… I stalked to a old woman only for fun… I follow her until she started to run…
I’ve actually had one guy looking behind all the time.
And when he saw I was entering the same building as him he sprinted off. kek

You know what’s really awkward when driving is when you miss a turn or something and you go into a driveway to do a three-point-turn and it turns out the car behind you is trying to park in that driveway.
